EFC1/T30.11.25. -5- Contd. S1, S2, S3, S4. Each of these batteries consists of three standard P & R and three standard Exide cells in alternate order. Two of these are at present on experimental chassis and two on our bench dynamo tests. The high rate curves taken for S1 and S4 are contained on sheet V, but as shown do not pass our specification of 104 amperes for 6 minutes. SX. This battery contains two P & R and four Exide cells, but two of the latter cells differ from standard in having special grids with the paste retaining triangular bars having their apices pointing inwards instead of outwards. This battery is at present on our bench and dynamo tests. A recent high rate discharge capacity test taken on SX is shown on sheet X. SY. This consists of two Exide cells (one standard and one as above in SX), two standard P & R cells, one Fuller, and one Oldham cell, and has only just started its life. SZ. This consists of one Exide standard and one P & R standard cell with two Oldham and two Fuller cells. This battery also has just started its life. SL. This consists of three Oldham and three Fuller cells and is in preparation. Contd. | ||
