Non-dazzling Headlights

Dear Sir,

I beg to refer to your favour of the 12th Aug. and beg your pardon for the delay in replying since owing to an alpine accident I have not been able to resume my duties at an earlier date.

According to your request I beg to state the following.

The Patent has so far only been applied for in this country since the comparatively long duration of the priority term does not necessitate applications in other countries at this juncture. At the pre-examination which is executed here most thoroughly and which is carried out with consideration to non-violation through German, English, American, French and Belgian novelties, nothing was held against it so that the patent will no doubt be granted. I myself as well as my patent attorney an internationally recognized authority have also made exhaustive inquiries which have likewise convinced me of the impossibility of collision and that the formulation of the patent-claims constitutes effective protection.

To submit patent specifications in the early stages of non-obligatory prenegogiations does not seem opportune.

I take the liberty of enclosing more descriptive matter about the head light all of which I beg you to keep secretive and which in case negotiations should not lead to developments I beg to ask you to return to me.
