The higher output armature has now been tested in the Experimental rig and it is proposed to put this on to the 12-EX car, in order to do this a complete machine is required and a set of present standard parts should be obtained to the following LOPs:- D.71049 - Bearing Brackets etc. (Sec:8080). D.70191 - Field Winding. (Sec:8100). The standard commutator end bracket D.71250.DC will require the two holes for the control brush holder plugging up and re-drilling to the new print D.71718.DC. sent herewith. The foregoing together with the armature and commutator D.71618 which EFC. has, will complete the machine. If casting D.71250.DC could be got from the Works undrilled it would save the plugging operation, but I understand this machine is urgently required. BY/RD. | ||
