To BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CE. " " EFC. ORIGINAL X.604 RE BATTERIES. RECEIVED 3 JUL 1919 The matter of fitting batteries in America to Chassis being shipped there would seem very desirable. The matter would be very easy if we deal with the same people here as in America. This will probably be the case, as the American Chloride Company are the makers of the Exide Cell, which I believe will be found to be exactly the same as the Exide Cell supplied in England, which possibly is an American production. I have noticed that it has the same ventilating plug. It may, however, be desirable to have another battery in case satisfactory trading terms or deliveries cannot be obtained from the American Chloride Company. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Anything manufactured in U.S.A. need not pay duty if returned to U.S.A. on a complete product or otherwise. | ||
