PHANTOM II IGNITION WIRE TUBING.

In connection with the suggested use of H.T. wires with varnished cambric covering referred to in our concurrent report EFC4/AD6.12.29, we suggest for use with these wires metal ignition wire tubes of polished aluminium or cadmium plated steel. Now that magneto low speed sparking is so much better we think little objection remains to the use of metal tubes for the magneto wires.

An alternative suggestion would be a tube such as described above for the battery ignition side, and one of bakelite for the magneto ignition side. We recommend that we fit up two experimental cars, one with each alternative proposal.
