X7770 To PN.{Mr Northey} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 21-EX CAR. X7770 X We propose sending 21-EX car to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s garage at Northwood on Monday next. The driver will be instructed to lock the car in the garage and take the key to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} at Conduit Street. With regard to the running of 21-EX. As it is intended that this car should be treated as the amateur drivers car, the regulations which have been previously adhered to on this test is that the Expl: Dept: shall hand it over completely but the car should be run and looked after by a person with average knowledge. Therefore we recommend that we do not send our man with the car at all. When we hand the car over on Monday, we do not wish to see it again [heavily typed word] unless it is returned to us with some obvious fault. If this is agreed to, London will make their own arrangements as regards getting the car to France. We will send with the car a radiator cover, suitable thermometer and spare thermometer.
