Modification instructions for the dynamo lubrication on a 40-50 HP Chassis.

To enable the commutator end bearing to be lubricated without removing the cover we have produced R.R.Scheme 446.

Will you please put the following parts in hand to be fitted to an existing dynamo which Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. will supply.

D.74022-27. Oil Thrower. 1 off.
D.74028. Bearing Bracket,C.E. 1 off.
D.74029. Retaining Plate,Outer. 1 off.
D.74030. Retaining Plate,Inner, 1 off.
D.74031. Retaining Plate. 1 off.

Rotherham "Winkley" pattern Oiler, 1/4" x 26 T.P.I. 1 off.

The above parts replace on the standard machine :-

D.70856-61. Oil Thrower.
D.72010DC. End Bracket.

The new bracket called for can be made from a die casting of the above number.

D.73934-5. Retaining Plates,Inner & Outer.

These will also make the new parts.

DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 105. Retaining Plate.

The armature will require modification to the commutator end,in accordance with drawing D.74021.

Blue prints of the new drawings are attached hereto.
