Switchbox. I.O.P.D.W.97 (Standard).
No trouble experienced.

Distributor Board I.O.P.D.W.536.
This is the five fuse scheme, no trouble experienced. We can recommend this unit when coupled with the single contact regulator.

Horns Standard WT.13 Type Wind Tone.
It was reported in France that the alto horn failed at times. When tested on the bench this horn failed intermitt-ently on 10 volts, but was alright on 12 volts. This was due to it being slightly out of adjustment. We have returned these to the makers for re-adjustment, and await their comments.

Pass Lamp. Lucas L.B.140.
It was found during the run, that when this lamp was fixed in a manner suitable for driving in a fog, the beam was too high for useful illumination when used as a pass lamp, that is with the reflector in the undipped position. To remedy this, a longer solenoid plunger taken out of one of the headlamps, was fitted which limited the range of movement of the reflector. This is being investigated.

Tail Lamp. Lucas 312/A.{Mr Adams}
Dust had penetrated to the inside of this lamp, otherwise it was alright. This can be improved.

Dipper Switch. FT.22/N. Lucas Standard 3 terminal type.
This unit was accidently damaged, just prior to the car leaving Derby for France, and was changed for a Lucas switch of the larger type at Chateauroux as no standard FT.22/N type was available. Further bench testing on the FT.22/N switch is in progress.
