HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 44268 To Rg.{Mr Rowledge} From CJ. Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} [Text struck through] Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re 20 HP. CJ9/E9/1/24 With reference to R's suggestion that the addition of 1 1/2 cwt. on the top of the Goshawk chassis is likely to over-stress the chassis, have bumping tests been tried at any time when the chassis has been loaded up to this weight? If so, what were the results? What objection could there be to bumping tests being taken with this load distributed as it would be in a cabriolet with six people? To put our minds at rest in this matter, it would be quite worth while to destroy a chassis. CJ. | ||
