Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X766 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}13/W30.11.25. Re Radiator Shutters. Chassis No. 63-AU - Mrs. de Wichfeld. This car came in with a number of complaints, one of which was water boiling in Radiator in the mountains of Scotland. In my report to Sales, I said :- "We should like to point out that it seems rather a pity that as the margin of cooling on the 40/50HP. is so small, the Radiator has been fitted with shutters which will cause some obstruction, how much we do not know." BJ. then wrote and asked for more information, and to what extent the shutters might cause premature boiling. To this I replied as per attached copy of memo Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}4/W19.11.25. (marked (A). BJ. further replied as per attached copy of memo BJ11/H25.11.25 (marked (B). I think you will find this self-explanatory. If you will let me have your remarks, or send them direct to to BJ., copy to R.D., I shall be much obliged. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
