1115 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Cr.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.14.9.38. We have to supply details of the P.III and Bentley III engines for consideration by Body Builders. Will you please extract and tabulate:- (1) The weight of a present P.III engine, less flywheel, clutch and electrical equipment. (2) The total estimated weight savings which could be obtained by the use of special pieces for magnesium parts (these, of course, refer to the body of the engine only). (3) A tabulated weight of the electrical equipment (this refers to the dynamo and starter motor only, the distributors being an integral part of the engine). (4) Weight of the flywheel and clutch. On B.III will you please give the following information:- (a) Weight of the complete power plant, flywheel, clutch and electrical equipment. (b) Weight of electrical equipment, i.e., dynamo and starter motor. (c) Weight of flywheel and clutch.
