X7782. EFCL/AD. 21st May, 1930. The Chloride Electrical Storage Co.Ltd. Clifton Junction, Nr. Manchester. For the attention of Mr. McKinnon. Dear Sirs, We duly received yours ref. ECM/LJ. of the 20th inst. and have carefully perused your suggestions for further modification. One or two further points arise. (a) We presume the type.... 2 x 3-RR5-IL. you quote is correct with the E omitted, although this E was included in the type marking of some batteries in our possession. (b) We agree with your new (9) entitled "Maintenance of Battery in Service" which takes the place of (9) in Publication No.4050. (c) You have provided us with an explanation of the slight irregularity noted in the density figures and in the circumstances we agree to retain your previous tables as given in paragraph (13). We think however that you have overlooked the fact that it was our intention to omit the last paragraph of this section reading from "such a discharge" to "are left on", this being suitably included in our own Chapter III matter. Will you please confirm this. (d) We mainly agree with your new (15) but see (g) below. | ||
