Re Engine Vibrations.
(1)
Mr Royce thinks the engine might be improved as regards vibration by reducing the compression slightly without interfering with the power. He thinks liners 1/8" thick should be tried under the cylinders and reported on immediately. He assumes the compression to be 62 lbs and thinks it might be reduced to 56 lbs or 58 lbs.
(2)
Mr Royce thinks the "Mea" magneto might be of good use in this lower compression engine as a good spark can be obtained at low engine speeds.
Thos. Nadin.

[Across point 2:]
This magneto has poor contact breaker &c.
I like it. if the makers make this part. better
it wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} save this one
& standardise our own

Now it is desired that extra power is rather to be prefered to greater smoothness of running also engine here bushed by because magnetos was rather rough. at. night & Mr Perfitt.
