X6119 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA.13.2.33. DELCO-REMY CONTACT FINGERS. We have had two failures of the above levers recently/on the test bed and one on our bench endurance test. one The one on the test bed failed after a run at 4,500 engine speed due to the lever breaking clean across at the point where the rubbing block and spring were rivetted to the lever proper. The second failure occurred after 70 hours running at 2,000 R.P.M. (distributor) and was caused by the rubbing block fracturing. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
