Contd. -2- EFC1/T27.5.19. that silver acts passibly well for make and break contacts. EFC. Since writing the above, we have now proved by inserting a small 4 volt one ampere lamp in series with the condenser, that the alternating current to the condenser is of sufficient magnetude to light this lamp up brilliantly, namely, about one ampere. Since we know the capacity of the condenser to be about .2 m.f. and the voltage to which it is raised to be of the order of 500, a simple calculation shews the frequency to be of the order of 2250 oscilla-tions per second.
