Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey}16/KT5-4-33. It was news to us that Lucas hoped to have available sample P80 headlamps with dipping reflectors by Easter. As a matter of fact we had been told by the Sales Manager - Mr. Pacy - that such lamps were unlikely to be available until about October.

However, on receipt of your Memo. we wrote Lucas, and have now heard from them to the effect that they had made more rapid progress than they expected with their experiments, although the first pair of lamps will not be ready quite so early as Mr. Thacker led you to think, i.e., Easter.

However, there appears to be a chance that we shall be able to obtain one pair by the time you collect the Coupe body from Park Wards.
