X/80 To: Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, Derby. From: Sp.{Mr Spinney} re BODIES FOR EXPERIMENTAL CARS. In reply to your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG/17320 the cabriolet body at Barkers which you require fitting to the experimental chassis was made for a "B-C" steering ("B" distance back from the dash and "C" height). We think the chassis should be fitted with standard "B", and that Barkers should fit a little thicker cushion in order to make up for it. The levers are inside body. With reference to the saloon body on 4-EX chassis, Barkers will not finish this by Tuesday next; it will probably be ten days before it is finished as they have not made the wings and other parts which have to be fitted to the chassis. They are going to give us a definite date, of which we will inform you. [Stamp: RECEIVED MAR 19 1920] [Signature: RWS/] | ||
