Bentley Frame.

We have been carrying out simple experiments to see whether there is any modification we can make to the existing Bentley frame to prevent the objectionable sideways shake of the column on bad roads.

The results indicate that we may be able to do this by simply boxing in the frame from the front dumb iron to the cross member behind the gearbox.

It is necessary to do a full scale experiment on this because the only way in which we can tell we are successful is by putting the boxed in frame complete with body on the wobble rig and measuring the column movement.

In view of the fact that it will be a long time before we can get the new Bentley, we are making this experiment which should tell us whether any simple modification can be made to the existing frame.
