To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} L1184 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}4/KW.1.6.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III. Luvax Chassis Lubrication. We attach herewith a list of the various bearings and their respective meter valves on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III chassis. We have kept as far as possible to the Ph.II chart, and to the scheme on SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3. There are two small modifications necessary to the pipe lines, owing to the incorporation of elbow valves in place of straight valves, on the rear roll rod and front pins of the rear springs. This we have done in order to minimise the number of outstanding bends in the pipe lines, which are liable to be damaged by flying stones, etc. On the next chassis you build up we should like this scheme carried out and to be present when the system is first operated, so that we can ascertain any lack or excess of lubrication which may take place. Meanwhile, will you please carry out the mods. shown on SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3 at the first opportunity. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/J.Bowering. | ||
