Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/ML.16.9.40. re MYTH WEIGHT. ----------- I have just turned up some figures which were given me by Olley in 1939 and which were supposed to indicate the target weight of a new Vauxhall which they were producing. The figures were compared with those of the Studebaker Champion. As always happens where weights are given without photographs, some discrepancies occur; as an example:- We make the weight of the Studebaker Champion Frame = 144 lbs. Olley makes it................................ = 119 lbs. The most interesting things, however, are the figures for the weights which Vauxhalls think they can achieve. There is no reason why we should not make these Vauxhall figures the target for our Corniche Myth. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
