BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to S. (struck through) HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M9.12.27. EAC.10. GEARBOX. X7310 (struck through) X7190 Herewith we send N. sch. 2523., - Filler for. the gearbox. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED It will be noticed that we have taken the filler already existing on EAC. 7. gearbox lid{A. J. Lidsey}, and have only provided one filler. We see on F.74098. that there are two fillers on the existing EAC. 7. box. We should be much obliged if you would tell us whether there is any special use for the second small filler, which appears to connect to the constant mesh gear chamber. So far as we can see this chamber can be filled with oil from the main filler, and the purpose of the second one is not clear. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
