[Typed Text] EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}3/L1812. Mr Barrington 1.8.12. I attach report from Hives re slow running of Daimler. The tests were really to show how affected by plug position. Tests howver have not definitely proved such but have shown up other weaknesses in the Knight type engine. Good even compressions are always essential for good slow running. Again, our carburettor adjustments nearly always have to be made weaker after same have been run in. E.P.
