1332 S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}6/KW25.10.37. Dunlop Tyres. With regard to the two sets of new pattern Dunlop tyres which you sent to LH{Mr Haworth} and which we have now put on the P.III and 25/30 h.p.Trials Cars respectively, will you please let me know what the arrangement is with Dunlops regarding these tyres. We have removed from these two cars sets of tyres which were practically new which have been put on in place of sets of tyres which had become very noisy at about 4000 miles. Obviously we cannot use the part worn noisy ones again on Trials Cars, and it is doubtful whether we shall want to use the slightly used sets which have just been replaced, as we know they become noisy at 4000 miles. Also, we are anxious to quickly do mileage on the latest pattern sets to see whether they become noisy. Are Dunlops allowing us anything in the way of special terms on these latest test tyres, or are they given us just for experimental work without charge? Will you please say what the arrangement is. I am asked by the Invoice Dept. here whether to issue an order covering them in the event of payment. With regard to the partly worn and slightly worn sets of tyres removed, can these be used up on test chassis at the Works ? Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} —duef | ||
