R.R. 295 m (200 T) (S.E. 567. 21-5-18) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2129 X457 To EH. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. X.1795 X.457. RE STEERING WOBBLES 3rd. December 1918. R1/G31218. We have from time to time asked for a test to be made with the ball thrust washers removed from the steering pivots on the axle, and a plain fibre thrust fitted instead, to see whether the friction created at this point will reduce the tendency of steering wobbles in a car which has worn itself very free. I think this suggestion was previously sent to Mr. Haldenby. Will Mr. Hives make, or repeat the experiments. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
