Many thanks for your daily reports.

Re. Radiator Shutters. We have gone into this question and find that you were right about the travel of the thermostat, and we are trying to arrange for the thermostat to have an increased stroke as on the Phantom.

We should still like to know what load you require to keep the shutters open at high speeds; we are getting a confirmatory figure here.

We are interested in your remarks on the steering and should like to know whether you consider this to be better than that on the original Bentley.

We are concerned about the clutch, will you please let us know all you can about it. We have had two or three of the trials cars back after 7,000 to 8,000 miles running with the clutch plate badly scored.

Naturally we do not expect your sparking plugs to have given you any trouble as you are not running on lead.

We have despatched to you the triple stud Dunlops, so you will be able to do some comparative tests when you have completed 10,000 miles.

You do not say whether you think the scheme for keeping water out of the brakes is any improvement on previous efforts.
