| 261 (Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 27th January, 1937. Raymond Mays, Esq., Eastgate House, Bourne, Lincs: Dear Mr. Mays, Mr. Sidgreaves has handed me your letter of January 22nd, and asked me to write you direct. I think that the main trouble now with your brakes is that owing to your light body the brake distribution is incorrect. We have increased the front braking on one or two very light cars with considerable success in the hands of expert drivers, but, with this arrangement, it is of course, possible to lock the front wheels when the car is fully loaded. We will get some parts ready for your car, and let you know as soon as they are available. Yours sincerely, | ||
