| S.S. 583A (100 T) (S.G. 648. 19-5-20) G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 9618 X.1782 To R. {Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} c. CJ. EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T25.4.19. X.3362 RE LIGHTING INSTALLATION ET W.W. We have received from the Weston Company one of their Model 269 Weston 30/o/30 ampere meters and this we are instructing to be despatched to you to-day. (X.1782). Will you kindly have returned the one small round cut-out which was sent as a sample and which is slightly dissimilar to the dozen recently sent, as it is necessary to return this one to the owner. Regarding your note R1/G15.4.19, we are now preparing the Bijur dynamo on 49-GB with the resistance in series with the field circuit so that it will run as a plain 12-volt shunt machine at a suitable speed. We are unwinding the regulator and re-winding this for 12 volts and we shall use this in conjunction with a plain 12 volt shunt wound dynamo in our further experiments on this type of regulation. We have recently received a dynamo from Messrs. Smith which is controlled on the lines of the Trier & Martin patent. It is very easy to use this as a simple shunt wound machine. X.3231 X.3560 X.295.
