(g) Induction Manifolds BCD.1298 details were received 19.4.39 and are instructed under code BE.3/2, necessitating new castings. (h) Pistons EB.3916 Aerolite. It was agreed that a tentative date for the completion of this unit would be the end of May. This unit is now allocated to.4.B.50.Chassis. B.80.No.6. This was also a new unit instructed in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}1/BA.31.3.39 which is similar to B.80.No.5 with the following exceptions. (a) EB.4512 Camshaft. (b) EW.2121 Pistons - Aerolite. This engine is to follow closely on the heels of B.80.No.5. Bentley 80 Conventional. We have now well in hand all the new patterns for this unit. Will Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} please say if he requires us to go ahead with the producing of any necessary jigs and tools that will be required for machining purposes; as it was pointed out that if this unit is required in a hurry, jigs and tools would be biggest hold up.
