(sheet 2) unit, at present instructed to be similar to the chassis lubrication pipe, is to be increased to 3/16" diameter and Mr Sessions will provide the olive joints for it. (4) Piping. Mr Sessions has in stock a sufficient quantity of drawn brass piping to equip two chassis, and he will send this to us for use on the first two chassis. (5) Tank Unit. The bare fitting of the tank unit is to be altered to take a correct type of olive fitting. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will issue the necessary instructions for this. (6) Schemes still outstanding. The following schemes are still required to complete the system. (a) Piping on rear axle and from frame to axle. (b) Piping connecting front jacks to fitting on side of frame rear engine. (c) Piping connecting rear axle flexible piping to fitting on side of frame rear engine. (d) Modification to pump clutch and coupling (for Mr Sessions). These will be completed within the next few days. (7) We have received one set of rams and have asked for a second set. We have also asked for two engine driven pumps, the first of which is now being manufactured. (8) In connection with the experiment for using a Smith's hand operated pump in conjunction with D.W.S. rams it is important that the Smith's pump is equipped with the correct type of olive joints. Mr Sessions is supplying uswith these and we will hand them to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} for fitting to the Smith's hand pump. E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
