14038 To Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}3/MJ.7.11.30. x7460. 14038. CENTRALLY VENTED TANK. This is required very badly to simplify the petrol gauge. Your scheme of a neater tank unit top has been seen by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, who is not very enthusiastic about it, but apart from this we have had difficulty in making it work properly as for some reason the face joint at the back fills the lines with petrol. If we get the centrally vented tank unit, we at once increase the reliability of the gauge by 50% and should increase its cost by at least 30%. Will you please let us know if you have the matter in hand. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
