Bailey - Chief Engineer} X 6066 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}1/KW.12.6.36. Alternative Modification for Quieter operation of Horn Button. R.R. Sch.929 with ebonite horn button switch has been in operation on 33-EX for the last 2,650 miles. We are quite satisfied with the degree of silence obtained with this scheme; also we are of the opinion that the black ebonite finish is more in keeping with the R.R. standard.
