1160 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}12/MH.{M. Huckerby} 8th. March 1938. Messrs. Borg & Beck Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa, WARWICKS. For the attention of Mr.Armitage. Dear Sirs, With reference to the rig for testing the thrust pound-age of 10" and 11" clutches, which we had the pleasure of showing you on your recent visit to Derby, the writer told you our cost price for the rig complete was estimated at £30 to £35, but since then we have asked the Estimating Dept. to reconsider this matter in view of the fact that you might possibly be interested in the purchase of one, thus enabling us to make two together, and they now quote £20 net. We would, therefore, be glad if you would kindly advise us whether or not this interests you, so that we can proceed to put the two in hand together. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
