Piston Seizures on the Bentley.
-----------------------------

There have been several cases of piston seizure on the Bentley. A modification has been introduced to increase the lubrication to the piston when starting up. This consists of a small hole drilled in the connecting rod, as shown on the attached sketch.

The modification can only be applied to cars having drilled up connecting rods. These were fitted to the Bentley from 'C' series onwards.

Whenever a case of seized piston is experienced on a Bentley having these drilled up connecting rods, the holes should be drilled at the same time as the new piston is fitted.
