Fitted in Chassis 3.B.50. B.60.No.5. This is a new unit in accordance with specification issued in HPS {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} /WSC. {W. S. Cassel} 1/BA.5.4.39 it should be noted that the pattern of the B.80 Top halves will require to be modified after the 6 castings have been taken. Will AG. please see that these castings are obtained as soon as possible to enable the Pattern Shop to proceed with the necessary modifications to convert to the 6 Cylinder. Below is a brief summary of the main items. (a) EB.4669 T.H.Crankcase and Cylinder. (b) EB.4695 Crankshaft. (c) Wraith III type Crankcase Damper to ECD.1043. (d) EB.3916 Pistons - Aerolite. (e) EB.4706 Cylinder Head to PD.368. (f) Ex.33420 Solid Stem Exhaust Valves. (g) EB.4882 Camshaft. (h) GCD.1075 Dynamo having greater flexibility. B.60.No.6. Specification is issued, being similar to the above with the following exceptions. (a) EW.2115 Pistons - Aerolite. (b) Ex.33974 Camshaft. continued. | ||
