84516. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} 9/KT. Your ref. LTD/DLD. Sept. 15th 1932. Gallay Radiator Co. Ltd, 103/105, Scrubbs Lane, Willesden, London. N.W.10. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 13th Sept. We note your remarks about the radiator thermostat, but in our case we should like the radiator shutters to be fully open at 75°C. We note that you mention a difference of 20°C between closed and fully open. Our existing thermostat varies only 7°C between shutters fully open and closed, and naturally we should not be up with such a big lag as you mention. For the oil thermostat, however, this is not so important. The dimensions are shewn on the attached sketch, as is also the stroke required. We suggest that you let us have one of these little thermostats first, and we will then carry on with the radiator. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
