We are in receipt of a letter from North & Sons Ltd. dated 13th inst. in which they refer to your note EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T29.3.26, also EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T20.3.26 (Notes on the timing of a rotating armature magneto and on that of a 6-cyl. distributor to operate in con-junction with it) and the diagrams referred to in the two documents. They remind us that Mr.North and Mr.Allen had a discussion with EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} at these Works on 16th June last regarding the matters dealt with in the notes above-mentioned. They add that the position then was that EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} had prepared a cam cage and sleeve to enable him to make tests to determine the most suitable length of cam, the position of the armature at the point of breaking when fully advanced, as well as the position of the sleeve in the tunnel, and that he was proceeding to carry out experiments to determine these points. Norths & Sons will be greatly obliged if we will let them know if the proposed experiments have been completed, so that if any modifications in their EO.6 type magneto are found to be necessary or advisable, they may be carried out in future magnetos.
