So far we have not taken any particular care to finish off our experimental units anything like the manner we should expect them to be finished on production. It is necessary, however, to establish a satisfactory finish and we should like to endeavour to do this on number six unit. This means stove enamelling the block and cylinder head. The metal parts should be dull nickel plated as on Phantom III. The mains difference between Bentley and Rolls-Royce units will be the name on the rocker cover. We are producing a drawing showing how we wish the two rocker covers to be treated. Ultimately the Bentley may have a different induction system. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
