Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. W. Bond.

Last week I made a run of 400 miles on the car fitted with your tyres with the improved tread to overcome noise. Our opinion after that run is that the tyres are by no means silent; they cause more noise than any of the well-known American make of straight-sided tyres. They cause more noise than the Canadian Dunlop straight-sided tyres. It is only after one has been riding in the car for a long time that the tyre noise becomes annoying.

The noise caused by these latest straight sided tyres is more than we get with the Magnum tyre and the Magnum tyre is very severely criticized by our Sales Dept. for noise. We admit we are critical as regards tyre noises but it is only right that we should be because we spare no expense in overcoming the slightest noise caused by the mechanism.

Contd.
