MODIFIED VALVE SPRING WASHER.

Origin.
Guide to locate washer for valve spring.

Experimental Test Report.
The proposed washer follows the practice adopted by Springfield. It is similar in effect to the washer used on the aero engines and 20 H.P.
The attached sketch shows the difference in the present and proposed valve washer.

Road Test Report.
Run by Springfield 8000 miles.
So far no road tests in England but they have just been fitted to 6.EX Car. We shall have completed road tests before engines are built.
We can always modify the new washer into the present design.
