BENSPORT INSTRUMENTS. Answering your Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}7/MG.28.6.33., we have already issued instructions to the D.O. regarding the correct calibration of the speedometer and rev counter so that Messrs.Smiths can be advised immediately as to our requirements. In our report to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ref Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/KT.28.6.33., we referred to the instrument securing plate DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}140 being made in Phosphor Bronze. In order not to delay production, all these plates should be made in P.B. on production chassis as we can confidently predict there will be no magnetic effect with P.B., our only doubt being whether it would be strong enough for the job.
