Dear Sirs;

Your letter regarding the matter of tyre pressures arrived at a time when I was on the Continent, and inasmuch as the matter touched upon was both an important, and in one sense, a complicated one, I deferred writing you, thinking that I would perhaps have the opportunity of seeing you at some time during the Motor Show.

I would much prefer to discuss the matter with you in person, for I may find it awkward to properly express my ideas in writing.

I called at the Rolls Royce stand at the Motor Show twice, and enquired for you, but was told that you had not been down, and perhaps would not be.

In order to advise intelligently regarding the tyre pressure which should be maintained on any particular car, one must know both the size of the tyre which the owner is using, or is planning to use, and the weight of the load he desires to carry.

As an example, if a given car carrying a given load -- or, in other words, a given number of passengers, spare tyres, rugs, luggage, and so forth, -- were to be equipped with 880x120 millimetre tyres, the tyre pressure to ensure
