SPARKING PLUGS.

In accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.14/AP.28.5.37. we instructed the Works and Test Department that the sparking plugs left in store of the K.L.G. type 850 should be used up on Bentley production.

The Test Department, however, are drawing my attention to the fact that they think this is mistaken policy, as from the information they have it would appear that there was a considerable amount of trouble with Bentley chassis running in and around the City of London using Ethyl petrol. If this is the case, then it would be a mistaken policy to revert to this plug as for two months, i.e. since April 14th, we have been delivering Bentley cars with the new type of plug K.L.G. FLB.30 X Corundite plug.

Our investigations show that-
the trouble was not severe on Bentleys. We think that the new plugs in due BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} course will give just as much trouble through point burning. Hence we consider the old plugs can with advantage be used up. A.W.H. is in agreement.
