The clutch pedal is too heavy to hold out for any length of time. Gear lever is too heavy in operation, particularly when using 2nd. gear. Brakes are poor, insufficient braking for high speed work, and too much pedal pressure is required. Propellor shaft squeaks for 4 or 5 minutes after starting from cold, but goes off when warmed up. Rear axle whines, bad at 40 - 43 m.p.h. Wind noises on the body are terrible. Steering column reflects in the windscreen and is very annoying. Front end shake of radiator and headlamps is bad. Sideways shake of car on certain roads is bad. Suspension. Car rides far too hard at low speeds, but good at high speeds. The directional stability of the car is excellent. Steering Light and easy to handle. Road shocks are felt on the steering wheel, but there are no joggles. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
