With reference to our telephone conversation of yesterday afternoon, I have had a word with Park Ward & Co. who tell me they see no great difficulty in converting the fabric covered body to the metal panelled type.

As is usual with Weymann type coachwork, only the lower panels would be of metal. The roof and quarters would be recovered with new fabric (leather is not advised).

The cost of the work would be approximately £100.

In giving this approximate figure Park Ward & Co. have assumed that the wings, running boards and upholstery will require no attention.

Any repairs to the wings or upholstery would be charged extra.

If you are in favour of the work being done and decide to seek the administration's authority to incur the expense, we should like to know, as we should like to go out to Park Ward's Works when the car is there to discuss the possibility of modernising the body.

If so much money is going to be spent on it, it might be worth while trying to bring it a little more up to date so that if later on we want to sell it, it will be easier to do so.
