BY/RD. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.12/KT.9.9.32. J.III. SEQUENCE STARTER MOTOR. We wish to improve the power and efficiency of this motor and we should be glad if you would instruct, as soon as possible, another experimental motor identical to the first motor electrically, except for the following modifications:- (a) Teaser winding of 33 turns per pole of 20 SWG. wire. (b) Main winding of as large a section as can be conveniently got in position. Examining the drawings we think quite an appreciable increase in cross sectional area of the main field winding cover can be effected particularly as a decrease in teaser winding space will be made with the finer winding proposed.
