re. Overheating - Water Boiling Trouble.

We have to confirm conversation with Mr. Clough on Saturday morning to the effect that we had received a cable from Pt. Australia, stating that persistent over-heating on 40/50 HP. car 47-AU has prevented him from delivering the car to the owner.

Pt. confirms in his cable that as far as he can ascertain the car is running normally, there is nothing silly in the adjustment likely to cause this trouble, and as a matter of fact he has tried fitting new pistons rings, but reports that the car still is unsatisfactory.

We have written to BJ. pointing out that this is a standard car with medium compression engine, and that all the Works are at present in a position to recommend are:-

1. Louvred Bonnet.
2. High Speed fan.
3. High compression engine.

We have asked BJ. for permission to cable Pt. accordingly and to supply the necessary parts.

We have now received a further cable from Pt. as follows:-

"47-AU FITTING OLD TYPE EXHAUST BOXES MAKES CONSIDERABLE IMPROVEMENT BUT DOES NOT EFFECT CURE."

We shall be pleased to have your comments at once, as we are anxious to give Pt. every possible assistance, and shall, of course, have to cable a reply.
