There appears to be some question as to whether it is necessary to adjust the links for the brake shoe toggles. We shall be glad to know your experience of these, & whether you have found it possible to wear out the brake shoes without any adjustment of the brake toggles other than the original setting, the only adjustment being by means of adjusting the brake levers.

To wear out the brake shoe we find it necessary to adjust the toggles. This should be done when all the ordinary adjustment has been taken up. YJP 11/5/14
