The performance of brass and aluminium pistons in a carburetter for a 25 HP engine.

Two types of piston were supplied for the
1 5/8" throttle diameter carburetter, one in brass weighing 1 lb 2 ozs. and the other in aluminium weighing 9 1/4 ozs.

The best results on the 25 H.P. were obtained with W.O.2 needle and the brass piston. The only noticeable effect under these conditions was a slight hesitation on accelerating in the neighbourhood of 30 M.P.H.
