X4221 The experimental disc crank which we put in hand for a Goshawk Engine is now completed, and we shall soon have results. I enclose herewith a print of the Hispano Crankshaft, which is of the disc type, and useful information. Following up this matter, I have just issued to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} DES. 36 (attached), showing three model cranks for test. The principal test I think for these models when we get them made will be to mount the crank in journal bearings, and rotate the crankshaft through an angle of say 60° by a lever bolted to one flange, and to bolt a fly wheel on to the other flange, producing a somewhat similar test to that which Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} sometimes uses for steering levers.
