re W.J.Iden. 119-GN.

Referring to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E15.4.31 I suppose everybody concerned has been doing their best in regard to this car, but when we first had the complaint we gave the customer to understand that we should not want the car for more than about 3 days.

Probably this was a bit optimistic but the total time altogether looks like being at least a week and a half.

I particularly asked to be kept in touch with progress because this customer keeps writing to me personally but no information has been sent except when we have telephoned for it.

On Wednesday last the 22nd, we were told in a note from Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} that they hoped to have the car ready for delivery on Friday, so it is very disappointing to read in a memo. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} this morning that the car has been delayed because they have used the part prepared for it for some one else, and because they had not heard of any promise for Mr.Iden.

The latest information on the telephone yesterday evening was that you would require us to keep the car until to-morrow, Wednesday evening, and Mr.Iden is relying on having it on Thursday, and instead of it now being sent to the coachbuilders as per his former request, he now wishes it sent to Messrs. Edens Garage, Egerton Gardens Mews, Brompton Road, S.W.

I hope there will be no difficulty in carrying this out because I gather from his letter received this morning that he must have it for Friday, finished or unfinished.

Will you please let me have a telephone message or a telegram as soon as possible in regard to this matter.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}
